All Booher Library patrons may borrow print material and other circulating items. Southwest students, faculty, and staff may pick up inside the building (pictured above). All Booher Library card-holders may pick up by vehicle or by walking up to the library book drop at a scheduled time. Please read steps 1-3 to learn how.
Want to borrow a physical item from the Booher Library? Start by sending us your request:
Use the library's discovery tool, Seeker, to search for items.
Use this form to submit your request. You may request up to ten items per week.
You will receive a response from a library staff person within 24 hours, Monday through Friday. We will work out the details of your pick up by email.
Please see step 2: Picking up your items
If picking up in your vehicle:
At your scheduled time, enter the seminary's parking lot that leads to the driveway that runs behind the library. See map below.
Call 512.478.5212 when you arrive.
A staff person will place the items in the vehicle. Please don't exit your vehicle.
If picking up by walk-up:
Items will be marked with your first name and last initial and placed on a book cart by the library's main entrance. Please pick them up at your scheduled time.
All visitors are required to wear a mask on campus.
Please see step 3: Returning your items
Items can be returned anytime by placing them in the book drop outside of the library.
Please return books on time, or request a renewal by logging into your account or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for using the Booher Library!
The book drop is located at the top of these stairs. This area in front of the library's main entrance will also be where walk-up patrons will pick up items. There is a sidewalk ramp leading to this area on the other end of the parking lot by the Diocese of Texas.
