Since fall 2021, the Green Team has been meeting on the third Monday of the month at Community Hour to talk about ways we can take care of creation at seminary and reduce our carbon footprint. As The Episcopal Church Creation Care Office plans its programming for the next year, it invites all Episcopalians to participate in a 5-minute confidential survey from ecoAmerica. The survey seeks to better understand church members’ attitudes toward and awareness of climate issues and our corresponding role as people of faith.
All are invited to join this churchwide festival of worship, learning, community, and action July 9-12 at the Baltimore (Maryland) Convention Center. "It's All About Love" features dozens of workshops, panel discussions, meet-ups, and more, organized around the ministries of evangelism, racial justice, and creation care. In spring 2020, Southwest devoted Sowing Holy Questions to issues of stewardship, with most authors giving special attention to the role of humans–and the calling of Christians–as stewards or trustees of the non-human creation around us.
EcoTheo Review is a literary magazine edited by SSW DAS student Jason Myers that publishes original fiction, essays, poetry, visual art, as well as interviews, book reviews and scholarly articles that enliven conversations and commitments around ecology, spirituality, and art.
Many of the journal's contributors explore themes of ecology and nature in their work.
