Many uncontrollable factors affect fulfilling an ILL request. Some examples are - shipping, distance between libraries, locating a copy, and item availability. Due to these factors and others, while we are hopeful that a copy will be received through interlibrary loan, we are unable to guarantee their arrival.
To ensure the highest possibility that the item can be located and obtained by any patron deadlines, Booher Library asks all patrons to please allow a minimum of 10 working days (Monday - Friday) for all requests. Also, please indicate any deadlines on the request form. Materials out of state, in high demand, or difficult to locate often take longer to obtain.
Other general information:
Due dates are clearly displayed on the book bands attached to ILL items. Patrons seeking to extend their loan period please understand that ILL items are on loan from lending libraries. Therefore, renewals are at the sole discretion of the lending library.
Please make arrangements for renewal by contacting the Booher Library at least 5 business days minimum before the due date. We will request a renewal from the lending institution if there are no renewal restrictions. You will be notified via email if the request has been granted.
