From the book's introduction:
"The theological, pastoral, exegetical, and homiletical dimensions of each biblical passage are explored with the hope that preachers will find much to inform and stimulate their preparations for preaching from this rich “feast” of materials."
You may also wish to visit Harrison Library's Biblical Commentaries LibGuide where Southwest students, faculty, and staff can access online commentaries. Hermeniea and Wisdom Commentary are also available to Southwest alumni and Iona Collaborative users.
ATLA Scripture Search is a feature found in Seeker that allows Southwest students, faculty, staff, and alumni to search for scholarly articles about specific chapters and verses of the Bible. Read more about this feature here.

From the bibliographic record of volume 1:
"Designed to empower preachers as they lead their congregations to connect their lives to Scripture, Connections features a broad set of interpretive tools that provide commentary and worship aids on the Revised Common Lectionary. For each worship day within the three-year lectionary cycle, the commentaries in Connections link the individual lection reading with Scripture as a whole as well as to the larger world. In addition, Connections places each Psalm reading in conversation with the other lections for the day to highlight the themes of the liturgical season. Finally, sidebars offer additional connections to Scripture for each Sunday or worship day."
